Jerner Law Group, P.C. Attorneys Contribute to New Book Addressing LGBT Law in Pennsylvania
PBI Press has released the third edition of “Representing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Clients in Pennsylvania.” This important legal resource was authored by the leading LGBT law practitioners in Pennsylvania and includes chapters by each of the attorneys at Jerner Law Group, P.C.
Attorney Rebecca Levin authored the chapter on Real Estate Issues for LGBTQ clients and Attorneys Benjamin L. Jerner and Anna K. Pachner co-authored the chapter on Selected Issues Affecting the Transgender Community.
This entirely revised edition includes significant updates in all chapters, and discusses the impact of the Obergefell, Whitewood and Windsor cases on Pennsylvania law. The book also offers a new chapter on issues faced by LGBTQ youth.
PBI Press has released the following summary:
“While the law governing representation of LGBT citizens has seen profound change in the area of marriage equality, uncertainties and inequalities remain, particularly in the areas of parentage of children born to same-sex couples as well as employment discrimination and employee benefits. The new third edition of Representing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Clients in Pennsylvania addresses these changes in the law and provides practical guidance to lawyers who represent LGBT clients.”
